Measurement and Certification
· Maintain an up-to-date measure of the value of work done.
· Produce monthly valuations/certifications.
· Validate, agree and signoff on final account with PQS and Sub-contractors.
· Measure extra’s and VO’s.
· Measure Sub-contract work.
· Monitor Certificates and report on Payment Schedules to the Financial Department.
Cash Management
· Monitor Certificates and report on Payment Schedules.
· Monitor allocated cash expenditure.
· Prepare timeous, accurate and up-to-date budget and cash flow forecasting.
Contractual conditions, legal compliance and administration
· Peruse contract documentation and ensure own and subordinate understanding thereof.
· Liaise with Project team regarding contractual requirements and ensure full compliance thereto.
· Liaise with Project team regarding the commercial strategy that must be followed in respect of the Contract
and its requirements.
· Undertake the evaluation of Suppliers and material supplies for selection and recording as preferred
suppliers on the approved lists.
· Place bulk orders in liaison with Project team.
· Where applicable negotiate rates for additional work or new items.
· Monitor and manage Labour only supplier payments in accordance with allocated responsibilities and
delivery.
· Vet and validate creditor and supplier invoices and payments for approval by the Project Manager or Site
Manager.
· Prepare monthly cost reports providing the following:
o Reconciliation of trades (cost vs. allowable)
o P&G reconciliation spreadsheet
o A cost of quality report including non-conformances
o A report detailing pending credits
o A report separately listing under and overstated cost
o A report separately listing cost allocation
o Prepare document registers on early warnings, Site Instructions/VO’s and all correspondence with and from the Client and Subcontractors
· We have experience and a good understanding in the following types of contracts:
o NEC3 – New Engineering Contract
o GCC – General Conditions of Contract
o FIDIC – The International Federation of Consulting Engineers
o JBCC – The Joint Building Contracts Committee
